We learned of CMA Models, Inc. when they placed an ad in several issues of the SL Market Letter. While those advertisements were for models of Mercedes-Benz automobiles, CMA offers a variety of services, from custom building, to consulting to appraisals to brokerage/sales of models representing all different automotive manufacturers.
They make it pretty clear on their website (https://cmamodels.com) what they’re all about, pointing out that “we provide a market for the finest model cars in the world, and the prices reflect that these are genuine works of collector art, not common toys and not mass market diecast items.”
A few minutes of viewing the pieces they work with and build left our jaws on the ground. One specific model, a Mercedes-Benz W196 Grand Prix car was of special interest, here is how they describe it:
