I had the opportunity this afternoon to visit Sears Imported Autos Mercedes-Benz in Minnetonka, MN, to have a look at the all new 2014 Mercedes Benz CLA250 sedan. Sears Imports received their first example just two days ago.
I took an extended test drive in this, the newest of the Mercedes Benz line up. The front wheel drive CLA250 (the first FWD sold in the U.S.), is powered by an inline 4 cylinder turbo charged engine which, quite honestly, did not disappoint. My full review and road test results will appear in the next, printed issue of the SL Market Letter, going to press early next week. While we concentrate largely on classic and collectible Mercedes Benz models at the SL Market Letter… and not just SLs… we report on and aggregate classifieds for all types of Mercedes-Benz cars, from classic and young classic banker hot rod sedans like 300SEL 6.3s to 500Es to W123 diesel wagons, we cover them all.
I filmed three short videos today, each of which has been posted to my YouTube Channel. The video posted below is the exterior video walk around about the CLA250 and the particular example I drove and reviewed today… a nicely equipped example I might add, that had an MSRP of $39,500… almost $10,000 more than Mercedes’ advertised ‘base price’.
